Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg, Jalandhar recently celebrated the Republic Day with vibrant enthusiasm and deep patriotism. The event began with the hoisting of the National Flag by Principal Mrs. Sangeeta Nistandra, accompanied by the soulful rendition of the National Anthem and a patriotic song by the School Choir.
The program featured stirring speeches by students and a poignant Hindi play titled Why We Celebrate Republic Day, which highlighted the significance of the Indian Constitution as a cornerstone of national unity and progress. A captivating dance performance by students in tricolor attire infused the event with patriotic energy. It was mesmerising to see how the entire gathering compound swayed to the patriotic tunes of the performance.
Principal Mrs. Nistandra delivered an inspiring address, urging students to embrace their responsibilities as citizens and uphold the principles of integrity and lawfulness. She eloquently spoke about the fundamental rights and duties enshrined in Article 51A of the Constitution, emphasizing the framework’s role in shaping modern India. She remarked, “Our Constitution protects our rights and ensures societal growth and harmony.It is the base of our democracy. Students, work hard to contribute to the strength of our nation and study well to become good citizens aware of their rights and duties!”
A lively Republic day-themed quiz added an interactive dimension, with students enthusiastically showcasing their knowledge of India’s democratic foundations. It was delightful to see how students excitedly competed with each other and raised their hands to answer the question. The quiz was a great hit among the students as it increased their awareness about Republic Day in a fun way. The program concluded with a heartfelt rendition of the National Anthem, leaving everyone with a renewed sense of national pride and commitment.
