To commemorate Doctor’s Day, a group of enthusiastic and thoughtful students from Apeejay School, Faridabad embarked on a special visit to Asian Hospital, Faridabad. The objective was to honour and appreciate the tireless efforts of doctors who serve as the backbone of our healthcare system. The event beautifully combined gratitude, learning, and emotional connection.
A Warm Welcome and Insightful Hospital Tour
The young students were welcomed warmly by the hospital staff, who ensured a safe and engaging experience. The visit began with a guided tour of various key departments in the hospital, offering the students a behind-the-scenes look at how a modern medical facility functions. From emergency wards to consultation areas, the tour gave them a newfound respect for the fast-paced and highly disciplined environment that doctors work in every day.
Handmade Tokens of Gratitude
In a touching gesture, the students presented handmade cards, thank-you notes, and fresh flowers to the doctors. These colourful and heartfelt tokens conveyed their appreciation in the most sincere way. The doctors, moved by the children’s efforts, received the gifts with warm smiles and words of encouragement.
Adding to the educational value of the day, the hospital organised an interactive session between the students and the doctors. The children asked a range of curious and intelligent questions – from “What inspired you to become a doctor?” to “How do you stay calm during emergencies?” The doctors answered with stories of resilience, dedication, and compassion, leaving the students both informed and inspired.
Instilling Values Beyond the Classroom
The visit was not just an appreciation event – it was a powerful value-based learning experience. Through real-life interaction, students learned the importance of empathy, respect for healthcare professionals, hygiene awareness, and community service. It offered them a broader perspective on how doctors make a difference every single day.
Leaving with Inspiration and Admiration
As the students returned from the hospital, they carried with them not just memories but meaningful life lessons. The event served as a reminder of the noble profession of medicine and planted seeds of inspiration in many young hearts. It truly was a day filled with gratitude, learning, and hope for a healthier, kinder world.
