Celebrated poetess Emily Dickinson had once written, ‘Unable are the loved to die, love is immortality’. Dr Stya Paul, the Founder Chairman of Apeejay Education and Apeejay Stya Group was so inspiring and full of vision. His legacy still lives on through every student who studies in an Apeejay institute.
To pay homage to the visionary soul, a special prayer meeting was organised at Apeejay School, Pitampura on Dr. Stya Paul’s 12th Punya Tithi. He was reverently remembered by the students and staff alike.
Mrs. Anita Paul, Education Officer, Apeejay Education joined Mrs. Veena Goel, Principal of Apeejay School, Pitampura and staff to pay respect to the pious soul.
Mrs. Veena Goel started the prayer meeting by lighting a diya in front of Dr. Stya Paul’s portrait. It was followed by floral tribute by the staff and students. Mrs. Goel further enlightened the gathering about Dr. Paul’s life and his countless achievements that he achieved despite all the struggles. She also urged the students to imbibe learnings that are the cornerstone of the school’s value-based education system.
Mrs. Anita Paul addressed the gathering by sharing some personal anecdotes of her association with Chairman Sir. Through her precious anecdotes, she presented a glimpse of the persona of Dr. Stya Paul, who spearheaded an educational movement, by laying the foundation of Apeejay Education in 1967, a society that boasts of 50+ years of excellence in the education sector.
The prayer meeting concluded with students singing some of Dr. Stya Paul’s favourite bhajans and prayed for his eternal peace.
