Recently, Apeejay School, Rama Mandi, came alive with colour, rhythm, and celebration as it hosted its much-awaited annual function, Anugunj. The event was organised with the divine blessings of Dr Stya Paul, Founder-Chairman, Apeejay Stya and Svran Group, and the inspiring leadership Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. Shri Jayant Puri, Additional DCP (Investigation), Jalandhar, graced the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
The event also witnessed the esteemed presence of distinguished guests, including Shri Nirmal Mahajan, Member, Board of Governors, Apeejay; Shri Bhupinder Kataria, Senior Manager (Operations); Dr Rajesh Bagga, Director, Apeejay Institute of Management and Engineering Technical Campus, Jalandhar; and Shri Yashpal Sharma, Principal, Apeejay School, Mahavir Marg. Their presence added warmth and prestige to the day.
The ceremony commenced on an auspicious note with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge, wisdom, and enlightenment. Guests were welcomed with fragrant floral bouquets, setting a gracious tone for the celebrations to follow. The inaugural dance, Echoes of Shakti, captivated the audience as students showcased the power, grace, and divinity of feminine energy through a mesmerising performance.
Principal of the school Mr AK Sharma, extended heartfelt gratitude to the dignitaries and presented the school’s annual report, highlighting remarkable achievements across academics, co-curricular activities, and sports. He also reflected on the visionary leadership and contributions of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, whose relentless commitment continues to steer Apeejay Education towards excellence.
The cultural segment of Anugunj unfolded like a vibrant tapestry depicting the various stages of human life. Through engaging musical dramas and expressive dance sequences, students portrayed the innocence of childhood, the aspirations and dilemmas of youth, and the determined journey toward success. Each performance was intricately woven, leaving the audience enthralled.
A proud moment followed as students who excelled throughout the year were honoured with certificates and trophies for their achievements in academics, sports, and extracurricular fields. The applause echoed with encouragement and pride.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest applauded the school’s efforts and commended the students for their outstanding talent and discipline. He motivated them to continue striving for excellence and to set even higher benchmarks for the future.
The event drew to a graceful close with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Vice-principal, Ms Loveleen Bagga, who expressed appreciation to the guests, parents, students, and staff for their wholehearted cooperation.
