S Somanath praises the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping the future, emphasising its pervasive influence in daily life. Speaking at an event organised by Pragjyotishpur University, Somanath highlights that AI, already embedded in devices like smartphones, is adept at learning user preferences and behaviours. He anticipates AI’s increasing dominance, foreseeing its widespread influence on various aspects of life.

Earlier on January 11, 2024, Somanath outlined India’s ambitious space programme, revealing plans for a space station by 2035 and an Indian lunar presence by 2040.

Reflecting on ISRO’s recent achievements and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, Somanath acknowledges the PM’s consistent support for India’s space endeavours.

At the International Space Conference 2024 in Gandhinagar, he shares Modi’s vision of sustaining human presence in space and lauds the Prime Minister’s commitment to space exploration dating back to his tenure as Chief Minister.
