Aerobics and agility take centre stage at Apeejay School, Noida

A fit body fuels a fit mind. Engaging in sports and movement-based activities like aerobics not only strengthens the body but also nurtures discipline, sharpens focus, and cultivates an agile mindset—qualities that transcend the sports field and empower individuals in all walks of life. Aerobics, in particular, is a celebration of rhythm, energy, and endurance. When introduced to young learners, it becomes a joyful pathway to physical and mental well-being.

At Apeejay School, Noida, the holistic development of students has always been a cornerstone of its educational philosophy. With a firm belief in balancing academics with physical fitness and co-curricular growth, the school regularly organises events that instil teamwork, agility, and confidence among its students. In line with this vision, the Primary Department of the school hosted a vibrant Inter-House Aerobics Competition for students of classes 3-5.

The event was a delightful display of energy and enthusiasm as the four houses—Gandhi, Nehru, Radhakrishnan and Tagore—put forth captivating group performances. Each team presented a synchronised and spirited aerobic routine, reflecting not just their physical endurance but also the power of collective harmony. Students moved gracefully to upbeat music, showcasing their coordination, rhythm, and stamina.

The panel of judges comprised Ms. Sreerupa Pal, a certified Zumba trainer and founder of Sreez Fitness, and Mr. Akhil Tandon, TGT Physical Education at Apeejay School, Noida. Their presence and feedback provided an added layer of encouragement and professionalism to the event. Both judges lauded the young participants for their commitment, energy and flair.

Principal Dr. Neha Sharma appreciated the performances and congratulated all students for their participation. She later announced the much-awaited results. Nehru House emerged victorious with an impressive routine that wowed the judges. Gandhi House secured the second position, while Radhakrishnan House stood third. In addition to the aerobics prizes, students who excelled in a recently held skating competition were also felicitated with medals, recognising their athletic abilities.

The Inter-House Aerobics Competition turned out to be not just a celebration of fitness but also a reinforcement of values like discipline, team effort, and joy in movement—hallmarks of a well-rounded personality. Apeejay School, Noida, continues to inspire its young learners to embrace an active, balanced, and joyful approach to life.
