A workshop champions future-ready teaching practices

Apeejay School of Management hosted a thought-provoking session on “Enhancing Pedagogical Effectiveness and Exploring Innovative Teaching Strategies”. The session focused on leveraging cutting-edge tools and methodologies to improve teaching and learning, creating dynamic, engaging student educational experiences. The Center for Industry and Global Networks organised the session with the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Pedagogy. Prof. D.K. Malhotra, Professor of Finance and Director of the MBA Program at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA, served as the resource person, offering a wealth of knowledge on innovative teaching strategies.

Prof. Malhotra highlighted the significance of AI tools in enhancing classroom delivery, particularly in finance and marketing education. He emphasised how integrating AI-driven simulations could aid in teaching complex financial concepts, such as risk analysis and portfolio optimization, providing students with interactive, real-world problem-solving experiences. Moreover, he stressed the importance of team-based and cross-disciplinary projects, which encourage collaboration and practical application of knowledge across different subjects.

Faculty from Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Apeejay Stya University, and other Apeejay institutions actively participated, contributing to a vibrant academic exchange. The session ended with a renewed commitment to incorporating innovative, student-centric teaching approaches into the curriculum, aiming to equip students with the skills needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving global landscape.
