A vibrant celebration of tourism at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park

In a delightful assembly themed “Tourism: Thrills, Safety, and Effect on Economy,” the students of Class 8-B showcased their talents and insights. Anchored by the dynamic duo of Swarnim and Girisha, the event captivated both students and teachers alike.

The assembly began with the school prayer, where young minds gathered in unison, their faith palpable in the air. This moment set a reflective tone, reminding everyone of the values that guide us in our journeys. Tushika then presented the Thought of the Day, emphasising the dual importance of adventure and safety in tourism, and underscoring tourism’s role as a significant economic driver for nations worldwide.

Following this, Rudra introduced the Word of the Day, while Aaradhya shared the latest news, engaging the audience with current affairs. Their contributions laid a solid foundation for the assembly’s message.

The highlight of the event included two poignant poems: Sanghamitra recited the English piece, “May the Road Rise Up to Meet You,” while Aarav Beedwal shared a beautiful Hindi poem titled “Paryatan ke Romanch.” These verses eloquently illustrated the soft power of tourism and its emotional resonance.

Adding depth to the program, Akshat delivered an impactful speech on the significance of tourism, stressing its thrill and the broader implications for economic growth.  Akshat explained how tourism helps create jobs, supports local businesses and generates revenue for communities. The students collectively conveyed a powerful message about how tourism not only enriches personal experiences but also fortifies the economy of a nation.

The assembly also featured a mesmerising instrumental performance that left the audience in awe, followed by a lively rendition of the song “Zindagi Ek Safar Hai Suhana,” prompting everyone to join in the joyous celebration. Speaking about the assembly, class teacher in charge Ms Payal mentioned, “It was very heartening to see students present such a holistic view of tourism keeping in mind both the society and the environment. Kudos to them for their efforts!”

The assembly successfully highlighted the multifaceted nature of tourism, blending education with entertainment, and left an indelible mark on all who attended. It was a true testament to the creativity and enthusiasm of the students at Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park.
