
Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, came together in a spirit of reverence and remembrance recently to pay a heartfelt tribute to the beloved Smt Rajeshwari Paul, wife of Dr Stya Paul, the ‘First Lady’ of Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, and the deeply respected mother of Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor, Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education. The commemorative ceremony reflected not only the school’s gratitude but also the timeless values that Smt Rajeshwari Paulji embodied and passed on.
The event began solemnly with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising the dispelling of darkness and the spreading of wisdom and warmth for which Smt Rajeshwari Paulji was renowned. Floral tributes were lovingly offered by school Principal Ms Surabhi Joshi, Primary Incharge, Pre-primary Incharge, and members of the faculty, each flower symbolising their deep respect, admiration, and remembrance of a life lived with purpose and poise.
Principal Ms Joshi delivered an emotionally resonant tribute, sharing heartfelt reflections on the enduring influence of Smt Rajeshwari Paulji. She fondly recalled her deep appreciation for the arts, her profound humility, and her lifelong dedication to nurturing values within the family and community. Through her words, the students and staff were reminded of the grace and strength that defined her character and the legacy she has left behind.
Adding a lyrical touch to the occasion, a soulful poem was recited in her honour, capturing the beauty of her spirit and the depth of her contribution to the Apeejay family. The school choir enriched the atmosphere further by performing serene bhajans that stirred the soul, reflecting the devotion and calmness that characterised Smt Rajeshwari Paulji’s presence.
The highlight of the event was a tender performance by the Pre-primary students, who sang the Ramdhun with innocence and devotion. Their sweet voices echoed the legacy of love, kindness, and cultural values that Smt Rajeshwari Paulji instilled in the Apeejay community.
