
A school puts in so much for the development of its students. The Principal masterminds the growth of students and the teachers look into the nitty-gritty of every child’s progress. It is all directed to shape a child into a progressive individual. However, the last and crucial hurdle a school student faces is the Board Examinations. Students study day and night to pass this hurdle with flying colours. However, they also need all the blessings and luck they can get.
Hence, Apeejay School, Panchsheel Park, organised a special hawan ceremony for the outgoing class 12 batch. The ceremony was graced by the presence of an illustrious school alumna, Ms Amrita Singh, Analyst, European Forecasting Team at Amazon. Ms Amrita presided over as the chief guest of the ceremony.
Students, parents and teachers prayed to the Almighty for their success in the recently concluded CBSE board exams. This was followed by the citation ceremony which commenced with the traditional Ganesh Vandana and the customary lighting of the lamp.
Mr Sandeep Singh Kathuria, Principal of the school, conveyed the blessings and best wishes sent by Ms Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairperson, Apeejay Education Society. In his address, Mr Kathuria urged the students to become responsible global citizens and encouraged them to look ahead and march forward while exploring the limitless possibilities awaiting them.
Citations encapsulating a students’ academic and co-curricular accomplishments were read out by their respective class teachers. Students were resplendent with pride faces as they stepped on stage to collect their personalised citations from the chief guest. They also received a gift bag containing Founder-Chairman’s book: Reflections in Time, a good luck greeting card, water bottles from Apeejay Stya University and a class photograph accompanied with a school calendar.
A delightful medley of hindi songs sung by the teachers was appreciated much by the students as they applauded their heart-warming effort.
The chief guest, Ms Amrita Singh, shared beautiful advice with the outgoing batch. She asked them to embrace new opportunities and experiences in the journey ahead and motivated the students to stay persistent towards their goals and to never stop learning.
The outgoing Head Girl, R. Akanksha and Head Boy, Pranav Gaikwad thanked Chairperson, Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, for providing a stimulating learning environment and a plethora of opportunities at school during their speech. They also relieved some nostalgic memories and expressed gratitude to their teachers.
A video designed by class 11 students was a trip down the memory lane for class 12 students as it brought smiles on their faces and tears in their eyes. The ceremony concluded with the outgoing batch lighting the lamp of knowledge and singing the school song for a final time.
