
It was a special day at Apeejay Stya University (ASU), Gurugram, as members gathered with hearts full of respect and gratitude to celebrate Rajeshwari Kala Utsav—a tribute to the timeless legacy of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji on her 101st birth anniversary. The day was not only a remembrance but a celebration of grace, love, and her deep-rooted admiration for Art and Culture.
Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji, the beloved wife of visionary Founder Chairman late Dr. Stya Paul ji, and first lady of the Apeejay Stya Group, was a woman of exceptional compassion, quiet strength, and artistic sensibility. Her noble personality, deep kindness, and unshakable support to Apeejay members made her a pillar of strength in both family and institutional life.
Honouring the cherished memory of Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji, ASU members commenced the Rajeshwari Kala Utsav with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and a floral tribute.
On this special occasion, Vice Chancellor of Apeejay Stya University, Gurugram Prof. (Dr.) Vijay Vir Singh read out the special message sent Mrs Sushma Paul Berlia, Chairman, Apeejay Stya & Svran Group, Chancellor Apeejay Stya University, and Chairman, Apeejay Education, that she had shared in remembrance of her beloved mother and guiding light of the Apeejay family, Smt. Rajeshwari Paul ji.
Those who had the privilege of knowing her always remember her gentle presence, her generous heart, and above all, her deep love for the Fine Arts. She believed that art is not just an expression, but a reflection of the soul — a belief that continues to inspire us through this annual celebration.
Further, as a tribute to her enduring love for the arts, some online performances were featured by talented students, celebrating the very essence of art and culture.
A soulful performance by Apeejay student Hiya Bhattacharya, AIU National Youth Festival winner from past 3 years, who presented the melodious song O Rangrez, as part of the Kala Mahotsav celebrations.
Continuing the celebration of art and expression at the Rajeshwari Kala Utsav, Aastha Pandey from the School of Biosciences showcased a captivating dance performance. She beautifully expressed the soulful essence of the poetic song Saiyyan by Kailash Kher through her graceful movements.
Another soulful performance was showcased by Manya Mishra from the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences. A proud participant of the AIU Youth Festival, She will now enchant us with the devotional song “Radhe Krishan Ki Jyot Alokik,” capturing the divine essence of love and light.
As the celebrations came to a close, participants remembered the woman whose spirit of kindness, grace, and love for the arts continues to inspire Apeejayites.
