A Feast of Colours and Flavours

Introducing young children to healthy eating habits can be both fun and educational when learning becomes an experience. At Apeejay Rhythms Kinderworld, Model Town, Jalandhar themed celebrations are woven into the curriculum to help children explore the world through touch, taste, creativity, and confidence.

The recently held Fruit Fest was a perfect example of this approach—an interactive, sensory-filled celebration that blended nutrition, creativity, and expression into a single day of joyful learning.

The event began on a lively note with children arriving dressed as their favourite fruits. From apples and bananas to strawberries and mangoes, the young ones radiated excitement as they confidently spoke a few lines about the fruit they were representing. This simple act encouraged stage confidence, vocabulary building, and self-expression.

Next, the children visited Nature’s Bounty, the school’s very own fruit shop set up for the occasion. Here, they picked fruits of their choice and explored them up close—feeling the textures, peeling the skins, and even cutting them with support. Tasting the fruits and learning about their seeds, colours, and health benefits turned this activity into a rich learning experience.

The day concluded with a delightful Fruit Art Salad activity. Children created imaginative designs—trees, flowers, and animals—using fruit pieces. This creative engagement not only reinforced fine motor skills but also introduced the idea that healthy food can be fun and beautiful.

The Fruit Fest was a vibrant and wholesome event that showcased how early education, when filled with colour and curiosity, lays the foundation for lifelong habits of wellness, creativity, and confidence.
